SYNOPSIS

Blakey is An outstanding documentary charting the life of New Zealand legend, Sir Peter Blake. The story takes us from Blake's earliest adventures sailing P-Class dinghies with his family and friends, through the gallant failures and world-beating successes of his professional career, to his passionate environmental crusade and untimely death at the hands of pirates in the Amazon.

Ten years later, and Lady Pippa Blake and her children have collaborated with award-winning director Mark Albiston to create a documentary about the man they only knew as husband and father, but whom the rest of the country considered one of their own.

Blakey has been expanded with extensive archival footage, personal Blake-family memorabilia, and interviews with Sir Peter's wider network of friends and colleagues.
